TCGSurge — Market Intelligence

Facts vs your assumptions. PSA grading tiers and eBay's fee rates come from their official pages and aren't set here. Shipping, sales tax and the time cost of money are your assumptions: change them to match how you buy and sell.

Budget from

Hides cards whose buy price is below this on Today, Find and Overview ("Show everything" brings them back). Leave empty for no minimum. Default: none.

Budget up to

Hides cards whose buy price is above this on Today, Find and Overview. Search still shows them, marked. Leave empty for no maximum. Default: none.

Worst-case return you want

Sets every grade max buy: the highest price at which the pessimistic case still returns this much. Higher means lower max buys. Default: 20%.

Expected return needed to grade

A raw-to-grade card must expect at least this return to be a buy. Higher means fewer grade buys. Default: 25%.

Find tab to open first

Only picks which Find tab opens by default. It never changes a verdict. Default: Best mode (any).

Shipping you pay on a raw card (your assumption)

Added to every raw purchase: lowers every grade buy's EV and every raw and slab max buy. Default: $5.

Shipping to and from PSA, per card (your assumption)

Insured shipping both ways, split over a batch: lowers every grade buy's EV. Default: $6.

Shipping you pay to send a sold slab (your assumption)

Taken off every graded sale: lowers every grade buy's EV. Default: $5.

Time cost of your money, per year (your assumption)

Charged on the raw price plus the grading fee while the card is at PSA: lowers grade EV, most on slow tiers. Default: 10%.

Sales tax inside eBay's fee base (your assumption)

eBay charges its fee on the total with tax, so a higher rate lowers every graded sale's net. Default: 7%.

Slab discount to hunt for

Slab search targets sit this far below the comp (after its comp band). Higher means lower slab max buys. Default: 15%.

Using the defaults.
